As border emperor Tom Homan promised on countless occasions, one of the immigration and customs enforcement of the law is a prohibitive law that holds illegal aliens.
ICE agents arrested two bakery owners in Los Fresnos, Texas.
An arrest must signal other employers not to hire illegals. Others may recommend seeking an attorney.
And apart from the start of arrests at work, ICE also arrests illegals when they appear for an immigration hearing.
Law
The law that Homan arrested the owners of Abby's bakeries Leonardo Baez and Nora Alicia Avila Guell is US code 1324 “bringing certain aliens and holding them.”
The legal text is clear. Anyone can understand the immigrants such as Baez and Avila-Guel, who are legal permanent residents.
The law applies to “anyone” who supports illegal people to the country and says, “the fact that foreigners have come, entered or remain in the United States in violation of laws, concealment, ports, ports, ports You don't know or recklessly ignore it. Or try to shield from detection, or shield from detection, such as aliens everywhere, including buildings and means of transport.”
They also “punite anyone who encourages or steers foreigners to come, enter or reside in the United States.”
This crime is a felony punished by a fine and is a 10-year prison.
Criminal complaint
Baez and Avila-Guel confessed that they knew the eight illegals they employed were illegally in the country and that they “hugged the aliens on their personal property.”
One of the illegals, Roberto Ibarra Otero, is “a citizen and citizen of Mexico who has no documents to remain in the United States,” the complaint states.
(He) the owner of Abby's bakery said he was aware of his illegal status in the country and deliberately possessed (he and others) of his property.
Otero also fingered Baez and Avila-Guel as baker owners.
A second illegal witness told investigators the same.
“The alien fears were the result of workplace enforcement measures,” the complaint states. “After the event, the facts of the event were presented to the duty AUSA (Assistant U.S. Attorney) who agreed that there was a sufficient cause of complaints about the prosecutor's acceptance and approval.”
Mayor Los Fresnos, a town about 16 miles north of the border town of Brownsville, commented on Facebook.
“We acknowledge concerns about the existence of ice agents at Abbey's bakery,” writes Alejandro Flores.
However, we recommend that you access ICE directly for updates on this issue. This is an ongoing issue and cannot be speculated at this time. I agree that this doesn't look good, and we need to speculate as the ice has not made a statement. My prayers are with Leonardo Baez and his family during this difficult time. This is very frustrating.
It's also frustrating that tracking illegals can cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
He was arrested outside
ICE has arrested illegals when they appear in for an immigration lawsuit, news reports say.
The Nashville banner on the far left reported that at least three people had been arrested. An ICE official told the website it was advising illegals that ICE could be detained.
A top New York judge told the Times Union in Albany that ice is successfully illiciting illegals in court.
The court is off limits for these arrests under state law. Instead, federal immigration officials are making their arrests instead in court hallways or outside buildings, Zayas said. …
Gov. Kathy Hochul said the state will work with federal immigration authorities when seeking someone convicted of a crime. Otherwise, state agencies are prohibited from asking or sharing someone's immigration status.
Like two bakers in Texas, Hochul might be accused of holding them if he is not careful. Federal law prohibits state and local officials from hiding information about illegals from immigration authorities. Homan has repeatedly warned state and local officials that they were arrested for embracing them if they refused to cooperate with Ice in arresting and deporting illegal actors.
In Florida, ice officials denied that illegals were “deceived” and checked in as needed.
Anyone here is illegally “not off the table.”
Asked by a reporter about the illegal actor who was arrested at the hearing, Homan answered by asking a simple question. “Are they illegally in the country? Then they should be arrested.”
ICE prioritizes public safety and national security threats, but he said, “If you're in the country illegally, you're not off the table. It's not okay to be illegal in this country. .”
Asked about people making asylum claims, Homan explained that court data showed 90% of requests were fake.
“These people are not eligible for asylum,” he said:
They have made false asylum claims, and nine out of ten are removed. That's true.
Meanwhile, he said others with valid asylum claims – those who are truly afraid of government persecution – are waiting in line.
And, “Just because we prioritize public safety and national security threats doesn't mean that everyone else is off the table. …If you're illegally in the countryside, you're It's not off the table,” Homan concluded:
If you run into someone illegal in the United States, I will not instruct Ice not to enforce the law. That's what the last administration did.
As new Americans have repeatedly reported, 90% of asylum claims are fake, and so-called Asilies come to the US for work or free stuff. A UCLA study found that 99% of asylum claims were fake.
