Since the end of World War II, the United States has served as a European bodyguard. The arrangement is coming to an end, at least as long as Donald Trump is the president of the United States.
After Trump revealed, the US dialed back military presence in Europe and forced the nations of the continent to take charge of their own safety, and mass freakouts exploded. British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer did so with the disclaimer that the US must serve as a behind-the-scenes security, even while Europe announced it would begin offering “boots on the ground and airplanes” for the fight against Ukraine's Russia. This prompted Trump to point out the stupidity of the Russians to announce to the world, including the great and powerful England, that once great and powerful, is shaking its boots.
Though the view of priority expresses uncertainty among many European leaders, at least one head of state has publicly recognized the absurdity of so many Europeans, in response to few people on a continent, far away, for security to a few Russians. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tass said:
Ladies and gentlemen, there's a paradox and someone has already overlooked it. Listen to this. 500 million Europeans are calling for 300 million Americans to defend 140 million Russians. …If you know how to count, rely on yourself. Start relying on yourself. Not alone, but fully aware of your own possibilities. Europe, if there is something we lack today, it's not economic or demographic power, but the belief that we are truly a global power.
Europe to increase defence spending
On Thursday, 27 European leaders approved plans to increase defence spending. The plan would invest around 150 billion euros on military purchases from the European Union's unused funds.
“As a priority, funds will be spent on air and missile defense, gun systems, ammunition, drones, air transport, cyber systems, artificial intelligence and electronic warfare,” the Associated Press reported.
The Ukrainian-Russian War was the main topic discussed at the Security Summit, but despite recent harsh stories showing that such support may be on the horizon, no one pledged much money or weapons to keep Ukraine in the fight.
The United States essentially halted all military support for Ukraine. It freezes any further weapon transfers and stops sharing of intelligence. Trump's intention is to force Ukraine to the negotiation table with Russia and end the war. Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky waves between ideas and openness to resistance. He expressed concern that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot be trusted to be faithful to be faithful to the peace agreement. However, given his depleted forces rely heavily on the US for weapons, he has no choice unless the Ukrainians plan to defend themselves with sticks and road fofolks.
On Friday morning, Trump said he was considering leveling bank sanctions and tariffs on Russia as part of his efforts to end the war in Eastern Europe.
Germany swears military accumulation
Germany shows that learning how to fight again is serious. The news from the “centre of Europe” is that Germans are planning to raise military spending caps and spend. Wall Street Journal Report:
At a press conference called in Berlin late Tuesday, Friedrich Merz, who is lined up to become Germany's next prime minister, announced a break in a position that has dominated the country's relationship with European partners for decades.
From now on, Germany's well-known strict fiscal rules will no longer apply to military spending, paving the way for a rapid acceleration of the country's re-soldiers. He added that the next government will establish a 500 billion euro infrastructure investment fund to restructure the country's longstanding transport, energy and digital infrastructure.
“We must do whatever the continent needs, given our freedom and the threat to peace,” Meltz said. He added that he needs to save the country, and to do so, it will need to rebuild its economic muscles.
Germany is so serious about European defense that it no longer eliminates its own nuclear weapons. Mertz says Europe needs to start talking about expanding its nuclear capabilities in France and Britain. When asked if his country should acquire its own nuclear weapons, he did not reject the idea completely. He said, “We don't need this today.”
Germany is home to Buchel Air Force Base, where the US stores tactical nuclear weapons. It also has one of the largest foreign military forces in America.
Nuclear armament is a serious topic, especially as Russian officials have issued several official statements indicating they are not afraid to use their own nuclear weapons. Europeans are now taking the threat seriously. “We're a scientist in Germany,” said Thomas Silverhorn, a German Conservative MP and foreign policy expert.
Russia has been threatening us with a nuclear strike. We Europeans must take this nuclear threat seriously and face it with nuclear deterrent. So far, it has been provided by the US and is debating whether it can be organized at the European level with France and the UK.
It suggests that the fastest way Germans can rebuild deterrent is by replicating their arrangements with the US.
Will NATO survive?
Trump's American foreign policy in his head sent shockwaves at how the continent, not just the US, but the continent, is affecting most of Europe. On Friday, CNN published an article asking, “Can NATO survive without the US?”
The US has donated approximately 16% of NATO's military, civilian budgets and security investments. Only Germany is approaching this. However, the US offers an overwhelming majority of NATO military sources. The question now is how will NATO move forward without the US acting as a military backbone?
Apparently I believe it's okay. CNN Report:
However, NATO without the US is not helpless, with over a million troops and modern weapons at their disposal from the other 31 countries of the Alliance. Also, analysts say they have the wealth and technology know-how to protect themselves without the United States.
In America, many well-known Americans have suggested that it's time for the US to leave NATO. Among them are Elon Musk, Rep. Thomas Massey (R-KY.), Sen. Mike Lee (R-UTAH), and former lawmaker Ron Paul, who is always in line with modern-day liberal godfather Ron Paul. The growing concern is that the stupid European leaders will engage in unnecessary conflicts and drag the United States in accordance with the collective defense clauses of the treaty.
NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, was established as an alliance to stop the expansion of the Soviet Union. But instead of disbanding after the official collapse of the Soviet Union, it grew. It swelled from 16 member states to 32, whose expansion served as a justification for Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
The official purpose of NATO is probably not the real reason it exists. As stated in the publication of New American on February 14, 2022, it is no coincidence that NATO and the European Union expanded in tandem.
Just as NATO is the most important international military alliance ever created, the European Union is also the most “successful” attempt in history in a consensus economic and political coalition. The European Union was originally created from the wrongly appointed European Common Market, and has become a very transparent effort to establish a full-scale regional government. …The ultimate motivation behind such regional arrangements is to significantly reduce the number of sovereign governments on the surface of the globe, providing a simple and orderly integration of such regional blocs into a single global authority, the true ultimate goal of international foreign policymakers. As former US national security advisor and globalist Zbigniew Brzezinski gave his opinion in 1995, “We cannot dive into the world government in one quick step…. The prerequisite for the ultimate globalization – authentic globalization – is progressive regionalization as we move towards bigger, more stable, more cooperative units.”
At the same time, regional military alliances, particularly NATO, will be perpetuated as a means of internationalizing military power, and the final integration of regional military alliances prepares integration into global military forces.
Europe should learn to take care of itself. The United States must withdraw not only NATO, but all international alliances, including the United Nations. Their stated purpose is not authentic. They are components of the world government.
