In a significant development, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin acknowledged on Wednesday that he has some “evidence” that North Korean troops are already in Russian territory. This marked the first time that the US government had officially acknowledged these deployments. Just a few days ago, Austin couldn't decide whether North Korean troops were really stationed in Russia.
He made the announcement at a press conference in Brussels following a meeting with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) defense ministers and others.
