The co-founder of World Liberty Financial said they plan to create a “strategic preparation” with tokens purchased by the Defi project.
Chase Hero commented at the first summit of Startup Ondo Finance in New York. However, he did not identify the purpose of retaining reserves for the platform.
According to Bloomberg, Hero appeared on stage alongside Donald Trump Jr. and fellow World Liberty Financial (WFL) co-founders Zack Falkman and Zach Witkoff. The platform is supported by US President Donald Trump, who is listed as Crypto's lead supporter on the project's website.
Herro's comments continue as WFL purchased 342,000 Ondo tokens on Thursday for $470,000, according to data from Arkham Intelligence. The Ondo token is linked to Ondo Finance and is a governance token for WFL.
To date, WLF Crypto Holdings has had a majority held at USDC and Tron.
The idea of a strategic reserve for Bitcoin has gained enthusiasm thanks to Trump, who has been making the idea of such a move since the president's victory. Last month, the US President signed an executive order to establish a cryptographic working group designed to boost American crypto progress.
