When you take on the role of a world police officer, don't be surprised if countries unable to fight their own wars call 911. That is exactly what is happening to the United States on two fronts: it is bankrupting our country, depleting our military that serves our national interests, and threatening to drag us into World War III.
Last week, Ukraine's “president” Vladimir Zelenskiy publicly announced his “victory plan.” It was paranoid: Ukraine's immediate accession to NATO, NATO strikes against Russian missile flights, and authorization to use Western long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.
It wasn't hard to figure out his true intentions. Ukraine is on the verge of losing the war with Russia and is desperately trying to draw U.S. forces into the fight. There were many opportunities to avoid this bloody war, but the Ukrainian leadership listened to Western neocons (like Boris Johnson) at every step and decided to continue fighting Russia until the last Ukrainian. did.
But now, just short of being the last Ukrainian, they are intervening with us to fight Russia, the country with the most nuclear weapons on the planet, in a fight that is not unrelated to our real interests. I'm asking you to fight.
Washington's answer must be simple but decisive. “We don't need more weapons, we don't need more money. You are who you are. Let's make peace.”
Would the United States be mortally wounded if the people of eastern Ukraine were allowed to break away from Kiev and join Russia? Will anyone but the Russia-obsessed neocons in DC think tanks notice?
The same goes for Israel. Tel Aviv responds to the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas to annihilate Palestinians from Gaza, invade and occupy southern Lebanon, weaken the military power of Iraq and Syria, and launch a war to fight Iran. started. However, the Israeli military simply does not have the capacity to fight so many wars on so many fronts, and is therefore increasingly demanding US involvement in the conflict. The United States has already provided Israel with approximately $23 billion in additional military aid and is leveraging American military assets in the region to shoot down missiles and strengthen weapons and intelligence.
But it's still not enough for Israel. Israel appears desperate to bring the U.S. military into the fight to fight Iran, with its powerful military. That includes deploying one or perhaps two THAAD air defense systems, each operated by 100 U.S. troops. These 100-200 US soldiers are illegally participating in combat, but worse, they are being used as tripwires. U.S. and Israeli leaders understand that any additional missile attacks by Iran would consider both countries legitimate targets, but as soon as U.S. soldiers begin to be killed in Israel, further U.S. There will be massive pressure to get involved. Imagine the war propaganda the mainstream media would do if such a horrible thing happened.
That's not the way to take advantage of U.S. military personnel. That is the opposite of supporting our military.
The US government's response to Israel's efforts to drag us into war with Iran should be similar to its response to Ukraine. “We don't need any more weapons or money. You are on your own. Let's make peace.'' That is what pro-American foreign policy looks like. Our founders understood it very well and wrote about it frequently. This is called “non-intervention.”
