The congressional committee that oversees most securities and financial products in the U.S. plans to set a September hearing slate full of crypto-related topics, people familiar with the matter said. The committee's chairman, Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.), plans to retire at the end of the year and has said one of his top remaining priorities is to complete one of the bills that would begin writing federal rules specific to cryptocurrencies.
