Uniswap Labs has deployed the mainnet of the Layer 2 network Unichain. The launch will take place almost four months after UNISWAP announced the EVM compatible L2. Day 1 launch partners include Coinbase and Circle.
Uniswap has announced the launch of the mainnet for Unichain, a decentralized super chain layer 2 network.
The UnisWap Labs team revealed the mainnet rollout for Ethereum compatible L2 on February 11th.
Unichain has been in operation for nearly four months since Unichain was announced in October 2024. Over this period, the platform has deployed over 95 million transactions and over 14.7 million smart contracts on Testnet.
Unichain Mainnet will be released in chains with almost 100 Crypto products, including Coinbase, Uniswap, Circle, Lido and Morpho. The platform hopes that more products and protocols will be released today on the network Startng.

Commenting on the launch, UNISWAP Labs CEO Hayden Adams said:
“Unichain is the next big step. It's an L2 designed for Defi. If you launch it as a stage 1 rollup with a block time of 1 second, it only gets better from here. In the coming months and years, the blocks will be We will begin many new improvements to accelerate chain scaling.”
Adams shared the comment via X's post.
Uniswap's V4 was released in late January, with the addition of improvements offered in V2 and V3.
The latest upgrades provide the highest level of customizability and lowest cost. Uniswap V4 is live on Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, arbitrum, Zora Network, OP MainNet, Blast, World Chain and Avalanche.
