Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States.
At around 5:30 a.m. on November 6, Mr. Trump surpassed 270 electoral votes. With its win in Wisconsin, the Trump campaign removed a key part of the Democratic Party's “blue wall.” Hours earlier, support for Trump was also being called for in Pennsylvania, another battleground state. As of this writing, Michigan, another blue wall state, is leaning toward Column R.
Signs of Trump's victory appeared long before Pennsylvania even called. After 10 p.m. ET, Trump won the battleground states of Georgia and North Carolina and early surpassed his 2020 vote total in many blue counties in the South and Rust Belt.
Within hours, Kamala Harris' campaign issued a statement saying her path to victory had been narrowed to “blue wall” states, hinting that a potential late-night plumbing problem could not save her campaign. .
Barring extraordinary events that should never be ignored, Mr. Trump's return to the White House will be remembered as the most hard-fought, law-filled, propaganda-infused, and bizarre in American history. . Trump survived attempts to bankrupt him, remove him from the ballot, imprison him, and kill him. And with a verdict in the hush-money case quickly approaching, at least one of those threats still looms.
Harris will be remembered as one of the most incompetent and ridiculous candidates ever to run for president. She was chosen as vice president because she was a woman of color. Her performance in the 2020 Democratic primary was so poor that she withdrew before votes were cast. Nearly four years later, she was elevated to the presidential candidacy without a single vote being cast.
Problem
The issues that led Trump to victory were the economy and immigration, issues that could not be easily hidden by propaganda. Despite surprisingly optimistic and often inaccurate employment statistics, Americans knew they were in a corner. And they knew it wasn't because of coronavirus or Trump's presidency. They knew that the country was doing poorly because of the people who had been in charge for the past four years. And no matter how much the media silenced or downplayed it, it was not enough to deny the devastating impact of free immigration.
The 2024 Trump campaign was also marked by the expansion of the MAGA coalition to include influential figures such as Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard. . It was an all-hands-on-deck approach. And it worked.
Even the minority abandoned the Democratic Party camp in droves. NBC News exit polls showed that on Election Day, Hispanic men supported Trump over Harris by a 10-point margin. Among Hispanic men, Trump's approval rating was 54%, compared to 44% for Harris. By comparison, Joe Biden won the 2020 contest over Latino men by a 23-point margin (59 percent to 36 percent).
In the end, Americans chose America First. Now the hard work begins. Will Trump assemble the team needed to dismantle the deep state and bring down the American global empire? Will his presence in the White House end the stupid war in Eastern Europe? And will he introduce higher tariffs and lower taxes? And most importantly, will his administration begin dismantling globalist infrastructure?
