White students could be suspended and expelled from school at a higher rate than Asian students. But no one calls it discriminatory. In fact, almost no one even mentions it.
Boys can be suspended from school and expelled at a higher rate than girls. But no one calls it discriminatory. In fact, almost no one even mentions it.
When black and Hispanic students are suspended and expelled at a higher rate than white students, that's another story. It is then not only called discriminatory, but the government will pressure schools to “equal” numbers. But as Professor Thomas Sowell said in 2014, “What will this politician do unless you believe that black boys can't malfunction more frequently than Asian American girls?”
Answer: Implementing social engineering.
And this is exactly what we visited schools under the Barack Obama and Joe Biden administrations. It's a timely time for the Donald Trump administration to counter this stupidity and restore sanity.
Fantasy World Policy
Again, the question here is the application of racial double standards. Example: White students and black or Hispanic students commit the same crime. But while white young people may be punished, non-white children may not – in the name of “fairness.”
Regarding efforts to restore actual fairness, Fox News writes (without mentioning that Obama also promoted unfair policies):
Parents of grassroots custody advocacy groups are urging the custody advocacy group (PDE) to reverse “unconstitutional” Biden-era policies that punish schools for racial disparities in discipline, as outlined in a 2023 letter from a dear colleague published by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Education (DOE).
According to the PDE, Biden-era documents push schools to “adopt racially discriminatory discipline policies” or face losses of federal funds.
“Despite the clear Supreme Court precedent that different influences alone cannot support a violation of Title VI, the School Discipline Letter states that even if school disciplinary norms are racially neutral, the racial disparity in the outcome of school discipline is prima facie evidence of racism. “In addition, this letter threatens school districts with loss of federal funds if procedures are not adjusted to eliminate such disparities.”
Equality is like yesterday
You may wonder how the obligation of inequality is justified. Now, as mentioned above, it is summarised in the “different influence” (DI) theory. what's that?
DI was a Supreme Court lawsuit in 1971 Griggsv. It has become standard along with DukePower Company. (There is no relation; the only force here is brain power.) The theory essentially states that, by definition, that standard can constitute illegal discrimination if different groups perform differently on a particular test, or if they cannot be measured equally to a particular standard. The DI was a vehicle used to force police stations and other agencies to lower the standards for minority and female applicants. Of course, this meant enforcing actual inequality of opportunities in the name of equality of outcomes. As an example, I reported in 2014 how Obama's DOJ sued the Pennsylvania State Police for treating women equally.
School education regarding school punishment
Returning to school discipline, this issue is almost universally misrepresented. An example is a 2022 report by the Education Watchdog Group The Learning Policy Institute. It writes about expulsion and cessation that “exclusive punishment has harmful consequences and disproportionately affects students of color.” But this claim is deceptive – some will say it is deceived.
After all, somehow, it's only true if Asian Americans are not even “people of color” now. (And it appears that some leftists want to designate them as honorable white people.) Consider that, as the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) informs, 13.7% of black students were punished for one or more suspensions. This is written by the organization
It follows that 6.7% of American Indian/Alaskan Native students, 5.3% of students in two or more races, 4.5% of Hispanic and Pacific Island students, 3.4% of white students, and 1.1% of Asian students.
This means that white people were stopped at about 3.1 times faster than Asian students. This is a huge gap. The story is similar to exile.
scam
However, you do not know the above from most reports on this subject. (In fact, after some fruitless research, I finally had to use Grok AI to find the NCES statistics. That's how well the truth is hidden.)
Rather, the media usually frames this as a white and non-white issue. White people are only winning silver medals here, and are used as gold standard despite being far-flung seconds. It's as if even Asian students don't exist. And why?
Because as long as the left-wing stories go, they cannot exist.
If people knew Asian born children, not white, but rather Cream de la Cream, the bishop phenomenon in schools, they might get the funny idea that unfair discrimination has nothing to do with it. They may conclude that the impact of punishment is “different” because group misconduct is different.
Incidentally, this racial phenomenon is completely clear. With most social measures (e.g. income level), what can be said about blacks vs whites can also be said about whites vs Asian Americans.
However, that is not said, as the goal is to beat the drums with “white privileges.” Talking about “yellow privileges” means you won't get more funding or new laws or programs. It's just cancelled.
