Despite the ouster of its founder, James O'Keefe, Project Veritas is still alive and well, capturing bureaucrats eager to talk about their nefarious plans using taxpayers' money. There is. On December 3, the group released an undercover interview with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official Brent Efron. Efron said the EPA began donating taxpayer funds to nongovernmental organizations before President Donald Trump took office.
“Throwing gold bars over the edge”
Efron, Biden's special assistant on climate change policy, spoke about his role in distributing more than $100 billion in subsidies before Trump took office. That money comes from Biden's Inflation Control Act, which Efron described as “Biden's climate law.”
“Right now it's about how we get the money out as quickly as possible before they (the Trump administration) come along. … We're like on the Titanic and throwing gold bars over the edge,” Efron said. he said.
A potential Kamala Harris administration appears to have plans for a climate movement. Mr. Efron and EPA officials still hope to see these plans come to fruition as soon as possible. He told Project Veritas:
What we haven’t yet funded is a local nonprofit program that was supposed to be the Kamala Harris Inter-Administration Program…. So now we are raising it (funding) as soon as possible. 2 billion so far, and we have recovered most of it, 90 percent.
In September, Trump told the New York Economic Club:
To further combat inflation, my plan is to end the Green New Deal (which I call the Green New Scam).
Protect federal funds from President Trump
The dumping of funds is an attempt to keep the climate movement from losing momentum under the Trump administration. Mr. Efron believes Mr. Trump will become indifferent to climate policy and plans to keep releasing money until told to stop.
Until the Trump guys come and say they can't afford it anymore. It will be the 20th (January 2025) at the earliest. But it will probably come a little later because they have to go into the building and tell people what to do.
Mr. Efron considers his efforts to give taxpayer dollars an “insurance” policy against Mr. Trump. As he did during his first administration, President Trump has said he will remove the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement. He is expected to turn a blind eye to anything that is not on the climate movement's agenda. Efron feels climate NGOs can protect federal funding from the Trump administration.
“We gave them (nonprofits) money because it was insurance against a Trump victory. They're not (a government agency), so they're safe from Republicans taking away the money.”
What if Efron's nightmare becomes reality and the Trump team removes him from the climate change issue as far as the government is concerned? He is confident that he will be able to find employment in one of the NGOs that have given him funding.
Last year, we donated $50 billion to climate change. So it would be really great to work at one of these places.
Utah State Senator Mike Lee (R) commented:
The American government is actively working to undermine the American people. We gave Washington power that became dangerous and destructive. It's too big, too expensive, and too powerful. We must return to constitutional government.
Many have suggested that the President's new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) urgently investigate the EPA's haphazard release of tax dollars. After all, it doesn't seem very efficient to funnel tax dollars to “green” NGOs just because a new government is due to take office.
Alphabet agencies, including the EPA, play a major role within the U.S. government. In this case, EPA officials are bragging about donating taxpayer money to NGOs, effectively undermining the president-elect's administration.
It would be poetic justice if another Alphabet agency, like President Trump's new DOGE, could close the holes in a leaky bureaucracy and end the practice of donating tax dollars to environmental criminals.
