By promoting ESAs, government vouchers for home educators, and other financial incentives in the name of school choice, governments are attempting to control education while giving the illusion of freedom.
Arizona is a prime example of this tactic in action, as New American senior editor Alex Newman reveals in this episode of “Behind the Deep State.” Under Governor Hobbs' leadership, the ESA was proposed with conditions such as government oversight of any organizations that received funds and the enforcement of secular values.
The bottom line is that to be bound by the state, one must endure the bondage. True educational freedom is freedom from government dictatorship over the education and upbringing of America's youth.
