Perhaps the biggest story leading up to Election Day is the plight of Peanut the squirrel and Fred the raccoon. As many of you know, these tame shelter animals were seized from their owners and killed by New York state authorities in a shock and horror raid last Wednesday. What makes the story even bigger is that Peanut (also spelled P'Nut or PNUT) was a social media star. (His Instagram account has 540,000 followers, which means he has more political influence in death than I had in life!)
Of course, some may say this is an exaggeration. After all, how many humans are killed every day due to bad government policies? But in reality, this outrageous act is not only understandable from a human perspective, but also involves deeper issues. justified by this.
Interesting stories about non-humans
Adding perspective to the case Monday was Mike McDaniel, a former police chief who oversaw animal control, among other things. “Americans know (anyway) that there is a difference between animals and humans,” he writes. “But they still love their furry friends.” Additionally, including sympathetic faces, naked or furry, in your story can engage people emotionally.
However, the government does not search the homes of illegal immigrants for the purpose of deporting them.
Instead, the establishment transports them to the interior of our country and gives them taxpayer-funded government benefits.
The government is not attacking malicious criminals flocking to dangerous cities and preying on innocent Americans.
Instead, it facilitates their evil through a revolving door system of (in)justice.
However, there are other warnings that Elon Musk related to via memes. “If they raid your house for squirrels, they're definitely going to come after you.”
government peanut brain
And carry out the raids that they did. Reason reported on the matter as follows:
Peanut the Squirrel has become an internet sensation, captivating hundreds of thousands of internet followers with videos of his charming antics with his owner Mark Longo. That all changed last Wednesday when the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) raided Longo's home and seized Peanut and her other pet, a raccoon named Fred. Both animals were euthanized shortly thereafter. Longo claims that DEC informed the media about the animal's death before telling Peanut Freedom Farm, Longo's animal sanctuary nonprofit named after the peanut.
“Despite our passionate pleas for sympathy, the agency chose to ignore our pleas, leaving us in deep shock and sadness,” Longo wrote on Instagram. I wrote it. “To add to our pain, they informed the media of their decision before informing his beloved homeland, Peanut Freedom Farm.
… A DEC spokesperson told The Associated Press that the public should be aware of potentially unsafe housing for wild animals that can carry rabies and illegally keeping wild animals as pets. He said the animals were seized after receiving “multiple reports from people.”
“Two days ago, 10 to 15 DEC agents raided my house for raccoons and squirrels,” Longo told NewsNation's Chris Cuomo on Friday. “We used the resources of this state to kill squirrels and raccoons and raid my house like I was a drug dealer. Can’t you fix the big bridge up ahead?”
Note that Longo actually saved Peanut's life. He adopted the squirrel as an infant after the squirrel's mother was hit and killed by a car. He also tried to return Peanut to the forest. The squirrel came back and was beaten, and ran into the house when the door opened.
The “most unfree nation” attacks again
The Empire State's arrogance is perhaps not surprising, given research showing that it is the least free nation. That was also proven with Longo. He said government agents who searched his home also asked about the immigration status of his wife, who is from Germany. (Because, of course, New York State is intent on hunting down immigration violators.) Longo also says the government justified Peanut and Fred's euthanasia by claiming that the squirrels had bitten staff members. He claims this is a lie, saying the DEC employees were professionals who wore gloves.
But was such a strong stance really necessary? Indeed, New York state law requires “those who wish to keep wild animals to obtain a license,” CNN reports. “Longo said he was working to get Peanut certified as an educational animal.” And since conservatives value the rule of law when it comes to things like crime and immigration, I think New York State's animal control regulations I'm not going to make a fuss. But I say something else, reflecting Jesus.
Man was not created for law, but law was created for man.
Longo is no Pablo Escobar. Why couldn't the DEC call him or send an officer to his home to help him get certified? Perhaps the aforementioned Mr. McDaniel said the reason was that the DEC director (pictured below). Note the communist-like uniforms.
A sign of things to come?
The bottom line is that good governments don't go overboard with their policies. They won't send jackbooted Stormtroopers into the homes of non-threatening Americans (as Roger Stone and Trump did at Mar-a-Lago). To paraphrase an old Chinese proverb, they would not use a hatchet to remove a fly from their fellow man's forehead. Tyrants do it.
On this point, commenters on McDaniel's article apparently agree. What happened here “has little to do with pet squirrels and everything to do with the government's show of force,” one person wrote.
“If Mark and his wife had resisted, they could have been killed,” he added. “Think about it: Peanut the Squire was investigated more closely than any of Epstein's clients.”
Additionally, there is another factor not mentioned. Longo, who has over 500,000 followers on Instagram, was definitely making a lot of money from peanuts. (This is what he likely used in part to fund animal rescue efforts.) Some state officials were definitely aware of this, and I know people : They may have been intensely jealous. This is especially true for the left. Studies have shown that they are particularly money-hungry and jealous. And don't get me wrong, some bureaucrats enjoy nothing more than destroying great civilian successes.
In any case, it is certain that, despite all this talk, the left has once again proven itself to be devout worshipers of the “culture of death.”
