Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has expanded its Bitcoin holdings by more than 500,000 BTC following its latest acquisition.
In its March 24th filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company disclosed its purchases of 6,911 BTC at approximately $584.1 million, or an average of $84,529 per BTC.
With the new addition, MicroStrategy's Total Stash is 506,137 BTC. The company currently spends around $33.7 billion on Bitcoin investments, with an average cost of $66,608 per coin. Given current market prices, the company holds unrealized profits estimated at over $10 billion.
This milestone strengthens the role of micro-tactics as Bitcoin's biggest corporate holder with a large margin. Its holdings currently account for approximately 2.55% of the 19.8 million BTC currently in circulation.
Furthermore, the magnitude of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin exposure is even more impressive compared to other major owners.
The company owns almost half of the amount held by all 12 US Spot Exchange Trading Funds (ETFs), cumulatively holding approximately 1.1 million btc.
It also holds almost half of what is believed to be owned by Nakamoto at, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin.
