A California judge has ordered everyone in charge of a prison rape case – prosecutors, defense and witnesses – to refer to a male defendant by feminine pronouns because he is a woman.
A Madera County judge ruled last week that 52-year-old inmate Tremaine Carroll should be referred to as her because, in his or the judge's mind, she “deserves dignity.”
Who are his alleged victims? There aren't that many.
“It's absolutely insane that a victim who tried to recite one of the most horrifying events of her life would have to police her use of pronouns on the stand,” Assistant District Attorney Eric DuTemple told KFSN. told.
It also makes things difficult for others.
“This is particularly problematic in this case because it confuses the jury,” District Attorney Sally Moreno said. “In California, rape is a crime that must be committed by a man.”
Carol has been a criminal since the age of 15 and is currently serving a life sentence in an all-male facility. However, he was previously held at the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, the site of the alleged rape.
He told Moreno:
We filed rape charges against this inmate because two of his other cellmates accused him of rape after his first cellmate became pregnant and was transferred to Los Angeles. .
transfer to prison
How did Carol end up in a women's prison when, as Moreno stated, “this person is not a woman in any way”?
Very simply, California lawmakers from the Democratic-controlled Legislature to Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom want inmates to be housed in prisons according to their gender identity rather than their biological sex in 2021. We passed laws that gave us options.
Under the law, known as the Transgender Respect, Agency and Dignity Act, Moreno explained:
There is no psychological evaluation that needs to be done. This person does not need to take cross-sex hormones, undergo transgender surgery, or undergo a psychological evaluation for gender confusion. Just a statement is enough.
Within three months of the law being passed, Carol, who had never previously shown any signs of being anything other than a man, declared herself a woman. In response, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) transferred him to a women's prison. There he became a celebrity among transgender activists.
The New American newspaper reported last May:
The following March, he claimed in an article in a black newspaper that he was a “trans woman.” In a masterpiece of prison journalism, he complained about “systemic discrimination by the criminal justice system,” Redux reported. “He also claimed that he had been incarcerated for a 'non-violent' crime, contrary to his criminal history.”
From there, the story gets even better — or worse for the woman he allegedly raped.
The following year, Carroll was profiled by the California Women Prisoners Coalition as an “incarcerated transgender woman who has contributed to several prison lawsuits.”
discordant instruments
According to Fox News, Carroll has actually contributed to countless prison cases.
While in prison, Carroll committed various serious breaches of regulations between 2001 and 2015. His crimes include fighting with other inmates, refusing to obey commands, drug possession, making false reports to peace officers and “acts that may lead to violence,” the newspaper said. It is said that Court records. He also filed various complaints alleging racial discrimination and sexual misconduct by CDCR employees.
“Mr. Tremaine has a long history of filing lawsuits against the Department, and has filed a huge number of lawsuits. “I am writing about inmates' complaints,'' said Amie Ichikawa, founder and executive director of Women II Women and a former inmate.
Curiously, Carroll referred to himself by the pronoun “he” in all complaints prior to 2021. But now he expects to be treated as a woman just by declaring himself a woman.
In a 2023 interview with MindSiteNews, Fox News wrote:
Carol told the interviewer that she had “never felt the need” to identify externally, or to “put on lipstick, wear tight clothes, or try to change my voice.” '' because doing so would “lock yourself in a box,” he said.
Of course, Carroll is not the only male prisoner seeking easier access to potential victims. According to CDCR's own statistics, one-third of male transgender prisoners seeking transfer to women's facilities are registered as sex offenders. “Forty-eight percent of trans women in federal prisons are sex offenders,” said The New American.
carol's wonderland
The Democratic Party is dedicated to transcultism at the expense of common sense (not to mention donations and votes). Hot Air's Ed Morrissey said:
Today, we have women facing a justice system that rejects the very basis of their case. There are prosecutors who have to overcome arbitrary language barriers to make their case for what's going on in rape. Prisons currently lock up violent men with women, based on the men's feelings, with no regard for the obvious danger or dignity of the women in their custody. Our judges are largely constrained and somewhat motivated by state legislatures that are more concerned with dignity than truth, and more concerned with (virtue) signaling than with reality. (emphasis in original)
Carol deserves a fair trial. But how can anyone be sure of the outcome of a case when the legal system is so clearly biased in his favor?
