Israel is on the brink of occupying Gaza forever. If Hamas does not agree to Israeli terms by next weekend, the Palestinian enclave will be attacked by an expanded invasion and then occupied forever.
Israeli security ministers approved a plan to seize northern Gaza and settle forever on Sunday night, relocate the Palestinians to the southern part of the strip, unlock the onslaught of unconfined forces, and eradicate the rest of Hamas. The operation will require thousands of additional reserves from the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). Among the terms of Israel's proposed summary are the release of 10 hostages in exchange for a 45-day ceasefire.
The operation will begin after President Donald Trump finishes his trip to the Middle East next week. He plans to visit Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Is this really about hostages?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the plan would achieve two main objectives: defeating Hamas and reclaiming hostages. According to the Jerusalem Post Office, Netanyahu said:
However, some are skeptical that hostages are a priority. Israeli officials believe there are 59 hostages remaining, with fewer than half of the people still likely to be alive. On Monday, Finance Minister Bezarel Smotlich said no withdrawal would be possible no matter what. “When the pilot begins, there will be no retreat from the territory we took, not even for hostages. It will be to defeat Hamas. The retreat will bring about the next 7th of October,” he said.
Some hostage families are opposed to the expanded crime. They believe that it only increases the likelihood that they will die, or, in the case of those already dead, their bodies will definitely be retrieved. Even the IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned that escalation could put hostages at risk.
Is idf morale low?
Netanyahu said the approved military action would require tens of thousands of additional IDF reserves. However, morale among the reserves is declining. Limor Simhony Philpott reported to the audience:
Reports show attendance plunged from about 150% to about 70% early in the war, with many reserves citing economic tensions and disillusionment over the government's Gaza strategy or lack of it.
Air Force veterans, Mossad graduates and reserves for the elite unit 8200 (IDF's signal intelligence agency) have accused Netanyahu of prioritizing political survival over hostage rescue.
The question of who will govern Hamas after Gaza is likely to cause political condemnation. According to Philpott, IDF has nothing to do with it.
The IDF hopes not to engage in long-term governance in large-scale clashes with the government. The IDF has made it clear to (Netanyahu) that it will not participate in Gaza's daily operations, including food distribution.
Some speculate that Israel's main plan is not to occupy Gaza, but to lead Hamas into a covenant by threatening it.
Will humanitarian assistance be resumed?
Plans to expand Israeli invasion include continuing the blockade of Gaza and preventing humanitarian aid from entering. “Afterwards, humanitarian plans will be implemented after the start of military operations and the evacuation of most of the population south,” according to the Jerusalem mail. Israel wants to separate true humanitarian recipients from Hamas terrorists “by using private companies and securing designated areas with IDFs.”
The situation was tragic in Gaza. Since the Israeli counterattack after October 7th, Palestinians have lacked basic necessities such as food, clean water and medical procedures. In Israel, in particular, there were many pointing points to bomb hospitals and block aid. However, it does not hide hospital and school rockets, using civilians as shields. The report also suggests Hamas is sucking up food, fuel and medical supplies for itself. US officials confirmed in May that Hamas would intercept and divert humanitarian shipments to Gaza.
This is why Hamas invasion of Israel and the massacre of nearly 1,200 people took place on October 7, 2023. It also solidifies as justification if Israel is occupying Gaza forever. Hamas cruelly and indiscriminately sniffed the lives of civilians, was raped, beaten, and took about 250 hostages. When they returned to Gaza, they barraged hostages raped from the streets to accommodate cheering civilians.
Israel ignored the October 7 warning
October 7th is still burning with Israel's rage. But from the moment the world learns about attack, one of the first questions about the minds of all, both Jews and Gentiles, are countries with one of the best intelligence agencies in the world, perhaps the most technologically advanced warning systems in the world, and the nations with the nations that learned to survive in the enemy seas, how did they not know such elaborate plans?
Israel knew.
Jonathan Foreman went through a long list of internal warnings for Israeli security top rises that were ignored over the months before the attack. His article, “How The Untold Story of The Israel Failed on October 7th,” Commentary Magazine provides some examples of prior knowledge on October 7th.
1:
The night before Hamas hit, important officials, including the chief of the Department of Defense, the head of the IDF Southern Command, and the chief intelligence advisor to the prime minister, were all notified of all concerns about intelligence report data from Gaza, but they were unable to pass on those warnings or did not act on them.
The IDF commander also said, “We ignored concerns raised by a corps of young female observers who could watch footage from Gaza 24 hours a day. Many of these observers were stationed at the post in Nahal Oz, just next to the border.”
Continuing with Foreman:
In July 2023, four months before the invasion, an experienced analyst in 8200, Hamas warned her boss that he had conducted a one-day training military exercise that was very closely related to Jericho Wall, the codename of the Hamas invasion program, which was captured.
Her commander ignored her, so she “sent the concerns beyond his head to more officers. The only result was official responsibilities.”
“In the beginning of October, the Gaza Division commander learned that six Hamas battalions were engaged in training drills twice a week.” He did nothing about it.
Additionally, Foreman Note:
Conscriptions of women from the Combat Intelligence Collection Corps frequently expressed to the commander what appeared to be preparations for a massive Hamas attack between May 2023 and the morning of actual attacks. Despite the fact that the Observer Legion has an equal reputation, their warnings were dismissed as hysterical.
“The evidence was abundant and surprising,” Foreman summed up, stopping his conclusion that the inaction was intentional. He believes the problem is that only “people who are too low in defense to enjoy real influence” realized what is happening.
Can it happen?
The May 12, 2025 issue of New American contains an article entitled “Concealment of America's Long History.” It details how some of the most important events in American history were spurred by attacks that were allowed to occur. These include the sinking of Lusitania and the bombing of Japan at Pearl Harbor. There is ample evidence to suggest that US government officials not only know these attacks were coming, but they also worked overtime to ensure that they were happening. While Lusitania conveniently provided the reason for US entry into World War I, Pearl Harbor happened to be sufficient to persuade the American public to support American intervention in World War II.
With so many warnings that Israeli leadership ignored, it is fair to wonder whether October 7th was allowed to happen.
If Israel is occupying Gaza forever, it adds fuel to the suspicion that Israel is always looking for justification to expand its boundaries.
