Last week, the Trump War Room released a video on X in which Kamala Harris proved that neither the Second nor the Fourth Amendment meant anything to her in 2007. During a press conference in San Francisco with then-Mayor Gavin Newsom, she bluntly stated:
Just because you legally own a gun in a locked home doesn't mean we won't go into your home and check to make sure you're acting responsibly and safely.
That alone would be terrifying, but she added:
When we make laws, we're not just creating opportunities to prosecute those who commit crimes. More importantly, when we enshrine our values in law, we seek to encourage certain types of behavior.
This is the language of a would-be dictator: her view is that the state is omnipotent and that rights are merely privileges granted by the government that can then be easily taken away.
Speaking about people convicted of gun violence, she continued:
We need to monitor where they live and have them contact us from time to time and let us know where they are, because we need to know where they are to know who owned the guns and to monitor their activities.
Don't think she's softened her stance: she continues to oppose the God-given rights of Americans, including the right to “keep and bear” arms and the right to “be safe” in our property, guaranteed by the Second and Fourth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
Incredible and surprising
Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Committee for the Citizens' Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA), expressed concern after watching the video:
Taken at face value, her comments underscore our contention that she has been an extremist anti-gun control activist throughout her political career.
Even more astonishing, as a prosecutor at the time, she must have known that what she was describing was a serious violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits searches and seizures without a warrant.
But this just goes to show that the Bill of Rights means nothing to Kamala Harris if it gets in the way of her gun control policies.
Her suggestion was and remains outrageous, and it clearly shows the depths to which Harris is willing to go in her personal battle against the Second Amendment.
Gottlieb accused Harris of trying to ingratiate herself with gun owners by declaring that she and Tim Walz are gun owners.
Harris claims that gun ownership serves political purposes — it doesn't matter if she owns a gun or not — she clearly doesn't want anyone else to have one.
Trying to hide his true intentions
Harris has struggled to balance the need to win voters' support with exposing policies that would drive them away. At an event with the National Association of Black Journalists in Philadelphia, Tonya Mosley noted that handguns are used far more in gun violence than semi-automatic rifles (which Harris wants to ban). Mosley asked Harris what she would do about it. Her bizarre string of words reflected her attempt to walk that delicate balance.
I have also been adamant for years, in fact I myself protested at a gun show maybe 10, 15 years ago about the gun show loophole and why it needs to be closed….
We have to take this seriously in every respect, we have to understand that this is not just a brief statement, but as you say, a comprehensive approach to addressing the tragedy of gun violence that occurs every day in America.
The host wasn't convinced and questioned Harris further, after which she bragged that she and the Biden administration had passed a budget increase for mental health professionals in public schools.
The real Kamala Harris
The real Kamala Harris emerged when she launched her unsuccessful presidential bid in 2019. As we noted in July, Ballotpedia listed the following policy proposals on her website:
If Congress fails to deliver a comprehensive gun safety bill to President Harris' desk within her first 100 days in office – one that includes universal background checks, an assault weapons ban, and repealing the NRA's gun manufacturer and dealer immunity bill – President Harris will take executive action to keep our children and communities safe.
Ballotpedia has posted some of the other suggestions on her website.
Require background checks on all gun sales and mandate near-universal background checks for anyone who sells five or more guns per year. Revoke the licenses of firearms manufacturers and dealers who break the law and drag the most egregious violators to court, whether or not they are protected by the Protection of (Lawful) Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA). Reverse President Trump's dangerous changes to the definition of “fugitive” that have allowed thousands of fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants to purchase guns. Close the “boyfriend loophole” to prevent dating partners convicted of domestic violence from purchasing guns. Ban the importation of AR-15 style assault weapons into the United States. In addition to instituting universal background checks, renewing the assault weapons ban, and repealing the PLCAA, Harris will fight to make gun trafficking a federal crime, ban high-capacity magazines, and prohibit people convicted of federal hate crimes from purchasing guns.
Make no mistake. The Harris seen on the campaign trail and captured by the media is not the Harris who aspires to the presidency. Her first priority is to confiscate all privately owned firearms from law-abiding Americans. Firearms remain a defense against Communist takeover of the United States. As a Marxist, Harris knows this well.
