Vice President Kamala Harris' main message during a roundtable discussion with FOX News' Bret Baier was that former President Donald Trump was to blame for the Biden administration's illegal and failed policies.
Harris strongly suggests President Trump is responsible for the killing of nursing student Laken Riley, who police say was a victim of Biden “immigrants” released at the southwest border on President Joe Biden's long-standing orders did.
When Harris was told that nearly 80 percent of Americans believe the country is on the wrong path, there was only one answer: Donald Trump.
Harris' performance was so poor that her handler ended the interview after just 26 minutes and 44 seconds.
It's all Trump's fault
Mr. Baier began the interview with the most obvious question. What about the southwest border?
As Baier observed that Biden immediately reversed Trump's immigration policies, particularly the Remain in Mexico requirement that required asylum seekers to wait on the other side of the border while their cases were heard, Harris said: They complained that Trump had somehow blocked a flashy immigration bill.
“Donald Trump found out about the bill and told them to repeal it because he wanted to solve the problem rather than fix it,” Harris falsely claimed.
And in this election, this is obviously a conversation that the American people want, they want solutions, and they want an American president who doesn't play politics on this issue.
Police allege Beier then brought up Biden's “immigrant” victims Riley, Rachel Morin and Jocelyn Nangarei.
These murders occurred “well before the negotiations,” Baier said. “This was long before Donald Trump got involved in politics. This is a specific policy decision by your administration to release these people into the country.”
Mr. Baier asked whether Mr. Harris owed his family an apology.
Harris acknowledged it was “tragic,” but the problem is Trump.
(I) Border Security was actually passed nine months ago. Nine months later, there would have been more border agents at the border and more support for those working around the clock to keep everything together. Prevent harm from occurring in the future. And this election in 20 days will decide whether we have a president of the United States who is actually more interested in solving the problem, because there was a solution, even if it's not in their political interest to vote. It will be.
But Baier reminded Harris that “this was a policy decision early in the administration.”
While playing footage of a grieving mother, Baier once again asked for an apology.
Harris:
I want to let you know how sorry I am for her loss. I am deeply sorry for her death. But let's talk about what's going on now with individuals who don't want to be part of the solution. Let's talk about that too, Brett.
In other words, it's Trump's fault.
wrong direction
Another brutal moment was Baier's question about Harris' support for taxpayer-funded “sex reassignment” surgeries on prison inmates and illegal aliens.
Harris claimed such surgeries were performed during the Trump administration, lashed out at Trump campaign ads about the issue, and declined to answer any questions.
Mr. Baier once again cornered Mr. Harris with tough questions. “It's interesting that you asked me to turn the page, Madam Vice President,” he said. “Last week, you were asked on two different shows what you would do differently with President Biden.” He then showed her a clip from his appearance on “The View.”
“There is nothing that comes to mind about this…and I have participated in most of the decisions that have affected me,” she famously said.
Baier also played clips of himself appearing on Fangirl's Steffel Colbert show where he said, “I'm definitely not Joe Biden” and “I'm not Donald Trump.”
“So you're not Joe Biden or Donald Trump, but you can't think of anything you'd do differently?” Byer asked.
Harris replied:
Let me be clear. My presidency is not a continuation of Joe Biden's presidency. And like all new presidents who take office, I bring my own life experiences, professional experiences, and fresh new ideas to the table. I represent a new generation of leadership.
So Harris must have had at least one thing on her mind that was different from Biden.
Mr. Baier performed best when he asked questions such as:
More than 70% of people say the country is moving in the wrong direction. They say this country is on the wrong path. If it's on the wrong trajectory, that trajectory will continue for three and a half years when you were vice president and President Biden was president. 79 percent of them say so. Why do they say that? If you turn the page, your tenure will be three and a half years.
“And Donald Trump is running for president,” Harris responded.
A series of pointless exchanges followed, with Harris again repeatedly discussing Trump but never explaining why 79% of Americans think the country is heading in the wrong direction.
All Harris could say was that “people are tired” of President Trump.
Buyer:
If so, why does half the country support him? Why does he beat you in so many battleground states? If he is as bad as you say, why is half of this country now supporting this man who could become the 47th President of the United States? Why is this happening?
Baier cornered Harris again, noting that Harris had called President Trump “unstable.”
“You've told a number of interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, running around in circles on his staff,” Baier said.
“When did you first notice that President Biden's mental capacity seemed to be declining?”
Harris replied:
Joe Biden, whom I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room, has the judgment and experience to do exactly what he has done in making critically important decisions on behalf of the American people. have.
“Were there any concerns raised?” Mr. Byer asked.
Harris: “Joe Biden is not on the ballot.”
When Baier told Harris that she was mostly talking about Trump and that Americans wanted to know about her, she directed viewers to her website. It contains a “very comprehensive policy of 80 pages.”
After the exchange, Harris' aides rushed to his aid.
“Mrs. Vice President, they're grilling me here,” Baier said. The interview is over.
Afterwards, Mr. Baier said, four of Mr. Harris' aides were waving their hands and saying, “We have to stop.'' At the end, we had to get off there.''
