A vaunted prisoner swap between Russia, the United States and other countries culminated yesterday at Andrews Air Force Base with the extradition of two Americans, but in some ways an embarrassment for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris again delivered a volley of words, and Biden, like at the G7 summit in Italy, walked out not knowing where he was.
But that's not all: After Harris delivered yet another baffling string of nonsense, her campaign rephrased her remarks in plain English.
Harris' Mumbo Jumbo
Biden stood nearby as Harris spoke to the media on the runway at Andrews, and seemed as stunned by her remarks as everyone else.
“This is a fantastic testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and the strength that comes from understanding the importance of diplomacy,” Harris said unscripted.
Not to worry, “Kamala HQ” had a translation ready for English. In X, the presidential campaign posted the following translation of Harris' remarks:
Today is a special day, and I'm so grateful to you, Mr. President. This is a special testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and strengthening alliances. This is an incredible day, and you can see it in my family and in their eyes.
No wonder the vice president's new name is Scamara.
It's unclear how many staffers will be needed to help silence Harris, but the job will undoubtedly require at least one, possibly two or three, plus two or three more who can be called in late nights or on weekends to provide emergency interpretation.
What Harris actually said echoes a number of cryptic comments she has made in the past, many of which she has repeated frequently, including in this message.
The importance of a community bank, as they are called, is that they exist in the community and are run by the members of the community — people who understand the capabilities of the community, the needs of the community, and the culture of the community.
Jumbled Jabberwocky
Indeed, after Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Harris, X was inundated with videos of Harris speaking incoherent Jabberwocky.
That includes this song from her greatest hits album: “I think it's so important for us to see ourselves in every moment, especially this moment, and to see ourselves being and existing.”
Speaking at the Johnson Space Center in Texas in 2022, Harris sounded like a true astronaut as she explained her mission to the National Space Council.
“Our task today is for council to report on the work that has been done since the last meeting in these areas,” she said.
Today, we also discuss the work that lies ahead — the work we still must do to continue to move forward — especially as we develop a skilled and technologically capable space workforce, advance human space exploration, and establish new rules for commercial space activity.
Asked to explain the war in Ukraine to a radio audience, Harris offered this valuable comment:
Ukraine is a European country. It is next to a country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia decided to invade a small country called Ukraine, so basically it is wrong.
Speaking to a CBS reporter about the issue of abortion and the U.S. Supreme Court's Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, Harris repeated the point again: “Certainly, I think we should have believed correctly that certain issues had just been resolved. Certain issues had just been resolved.”
“We have to work together to understand where we are, where we are going, where we are headed and the vision for where we should go, but we also have to see this moment as a moment to address the challenges together and to take on the opportunities that this moment brings,” she said in Paris in 2021.
But Harris needn't worry: The mantra she repeats to her followers like a cult leader is: “Don't be bound by the past, see what's possible.”
Departing on a jet plane
Biden himself, who suffers from dementia and wanders around, was on board to pick up the prisoners and board the plane transporting them.
The video shows Harris chasing Biden up the stairs and then watching as Biden climbs the steps and enters the hatch.
“Did he think he would be extradited to Russia?” quipped conservative commentator Jack Posobiec.
“Maybe he was using the toilet,” Kate Hyde wrote.
“No one is talking about Biden boarding the jet after Americans had already disembarked,” another wrote. “Did he think he'd be able to get on Air Force One?”
Answer: He may have thought so.
During the G7 summit in Italy, he saluted Italian leader Giorgia Meloni and then strayed the wrong way during a skydiving demonstration.
First lady “Dr.” Jill has had to frequently nudge Biden in the right direction, even leading him down the stage steps after a debate with former President Donald Trump.
Senator Mike Lee of Utah told Tucker Carlson that Biden's cognitive and physical decline is similar to that of his mother-in-law, who died of Alzheimer's disease.
