United Republicans are furious that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the chairs of President-elect Donald Trump's Government Efficiency Commission, invalidated a multibillion-dollar continuing resolution yesterday.
That's because Musk had warned that any lawmaker who voted in favor of it would have to be removed from office within two years.
Mr. Trump gave Mr. Musk permission to oppose the bill, and Mr. Trump himself threatened to primary Republicans who voted for the bill.
However, the United Party Republican Party has not disclosed the source of funding for the resolution. It was disguised as a government measure to get us through tomorrow, but it was more than just a huge waste of money. It was another awakening finger in the eyes of ordinary Americans.
Not a “clean” bill
As The New American reported yesterday, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson promised that any legislation to keep the government functioning would be “clean.” He did not allow the “Christmas Omnibus” to pass.
Yesterday, he broke that promise when the giant 1,547-page book was announced. Of course, that included billions of dollars in wasted spending, Fox News' Jesse Watters reported.
$850,000 for a gay nursing home $15 million for college tuition for Egyptians $400,000 for a gay activist group to teach elementary school students about being transgender $500,000 for a DEI zoo Teaching teens to identify their sexuality $400,000 to organization that gives clothing to help hide gender
But the bill was also loaded with the ideology of the woke and crazy left, as U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina observed. The resolution redefined the word to suit far-left sensibilities.
“Criminals'' have become “individuals concerned with justice.'' “Homeless individual” is now “individual experiencing homelessness.” “Adults with low skills” have become “adults who need basic skills.”
The bill would also transfer the federally owned land at RFK Stadium to Washington, D.C. That may sound like a saving to taxpayers, but sadly there's likely something else going on behind the scenes.
X's podcaster Mario Naufal explained that the move “sets the stage for a new Commanders Stadium.”
So the NFL, which is sitting on $20 billion, “doesn't need public subsidies, but Congress has given the NFL a great place for its billionaire owners to cash in without having to ask taxpayers. “There is,” he wrote.
Lawmakers call it “economic development,” but let's be honest: This is a taxpayer-funded playground for NFL elites, lobbyists, and VIPs, while schools, health care, and infrastructure are left unchecked. .
There is so much legislation to pass that there is little time to monitor it. Taxpayers don't have time to wonder why their money is being spent on luxury suites and skyboxes.
No investigation
Even more dangerous, the bill would block the Trump administration from investigating the scandalous and possibly illegal activities of the special committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The House Oversight Committee has charged former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney with witness tampering and key witness Cassidy Hutchinson with perjury.
To make matters worse, Prime Minister Johnson nearly pushed through a bill that would prohibit the incoming Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., from adding vaccines to the Vaccine Injury Table.
Diet member's anger
Unsurprisingly, as Fox News reports, disgruntled lawmakers on Capitol Hill were “furious” at Mr. Musk and Mr. Ramaswamy for trying to protect American taxpayers.
“Mr. Musk and Mr. Vivec should not have jumped in at the 11th hour and should have dealt directly with the speaker. People on the same side should not have acted like these two,” the Republican lawmaker told the network. told. “Clicks and bright lights are more important than getting the job done. After seeing them criticize speakers in public, I want nothing to do with them.”
He continued, “If Elon and Vivek are freelancing and shooting themselves in the butt without working with[President-elect Trump]they are coming dangerously close to undermining the actual 47th President of the United States.” ”.
Or it could be that many Republicans are “dangerously close” to being removed from office, having been ousted by Musk, Ramaswamy and Trump.
Voted
“Any Representative or Senator who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out within two years!” Musk wrote on X yesterday at 1:17 p.m.
On Truth Social, Trump dared Republican lawmakers to vote for the bill.
“If Republicans are willing to pass a clean continuation resolution without all of the Democratic 'bells and whistles' that are so destructive to our country, all they can do after January 20th is force the Trump administration to issue debt limits. “It will only lead to chaos,” he wrote, “rather than allowing that to happen in the Biden administration.”
Any Republican stupid enough to do this should and will be elected to the primary. Everything needs to be completed and fully negotiated before my inauguration on January 20, 2025.
United Party “Loser”
“The United Party is pointing its fire at Elon Musk, accusing him of killing an incestuous pork-fest government funding bill,” Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said this morning on X wrote the following:
But what killed this bill was the American public expressing their anger at X and posting about it.
But they hate Elon. Because Elon bought X and protected free speech.
The truth is, they hate you, the people, who stand against them.
They are angry that they were caught in such a bad way.
These losers waited for months, knowing that the government funding deadline was Friday, December 20th, and then refused to show us members of Congress the text of the bill until Tuesday night, when they threw over 1,500 pages at us. refused.
Taylor Greene called the bill's defeat “the most refreshing thing” she's seen on Capitol Hill.
In a conversation with Fox talker Sean Hannity, Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley said much the same thing.
Hawley called the bill “500 pages of pork barrel spending, and worse, all woke garbage.”
“What's really interesting to me is that the Republicans negotiated this!” Hawley continued.
The Speaker of the House negotiated this bill. It's a complete farce! This has to change, Sean. So, we can't let this continue, and I hope the Republican leadership gets the message here. The message of this election is that people want change and they don't want this garbage. I say a firm no on this, this is a joke, a farce and they need to go back to square one.
