Democratic Party leaders and the left-wing media have invited foreign interference in the 2024 presidential election.
This time, they are working with Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelensky, who told far-left, Trump-hating New Yorkers that his running mate, U.S. Senator J.D. Vance, is unfit to be vice president. Zelensky also visited an ammunition factory in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, where Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro was standing next to Zelensky.
Zelensky is visiting the US just weeks before the November election to tout his “plan for victory” in any war with Russia.
“Too extreme”
Dressed like a shabby teenager, Zelensky told The New Yorker that his plan was to “strengthen Ukraine” — which means he would collect billions of dollars more in tax money from Americans and seek permission to use American long-range weapons on Russian soil to attack Russia.
Indeed, this plan makes it seem as if Zelensky is ready to start World War III.
“I put all of the specific discussions and specific steps we had in October, November, December to strengthen Ukraine and end the war diplomatically,” he told The New Yorker's Joshua Yaffa.
What's different this time is that President Putin will understand the depth of this plan and the commitment of our partners to strengthen us, and he will realize an important fact: if he is not ready to end this war in a fair and just manner, and would rather continue trying to destroy us, a strengthened Ukraine will not let him do so.
And if President Joe Biden doesn't support the plan, “it means Biden doesn't want to end the war in a way that denies Russia a victory,” he continued, “and we will be in a very long war, an impossible and exhausting situation that will cost a huge number of people their lives.”
If Ukraine had not fought Russia, “Putin would have continued his advance, leading to an influx of some 40 million immigrants into Europe, the United States and Canada,” and American influence in Europe would have been reduced to zero.
“During the presidential debate, the moderator asked Trump if he wanted Ukraine to win against Russia, and Trump dodged the question,” Yaffa, who wrote the New Yorker article, told Zelensky. “He simply said, 'I want the war to stop.' His answer, and the possibility that he might win, must have made you uneasy.”
“Trump is making political statements on the campaign trail,” Zelensky said, adding that the former president “thinks he knows how to stop a war, but he doesn't.”
Yaffa's questions about Vance prompted Zelensky, a former actor and comedian, to not only tell Americans that Vance has studied history too little to understand the world, but also to lecture them about U.S. foreign policy and the consequences of Vance's ideas.
“He's too extreme,” Zelensky said, because he expects Ukraine to cede territory to Russia. He added that Vance, a former Marine and Yale and Ohio State graduate, has no understanding of American interests or history.
His message seems to be that Ukraine must make sacrifices. This goes back to the question of cost and who will bear it. The idea that the world will end this war at Ukraine's expense is unacceptable.
To us, these are dangerous signals coming from a vice presidential candidate.
“Trump is more rational and cooperative. In any case, what's good for Ukraine is good for America,” Zelensky said.
“(Vance and his like-minded counterparts) should be clear that the moment they start trading on our soil is the moment they start pawning American interests elsewhere, like in the Middle East, Taiwan and the U.S. relationship with China,” he said.
I don't take Vance seriously because if this is the plan, it would be heading America into a global conflict that would involve Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Taiwan, China, and many African countries.
To make matters worse, Vance is ignorant of the lessons of World War II.
“I would like Mr. Vance to study the history of World War II, when a country was forced to cede some of its territory to a particular person,” the imperious former comedian said, warning that Jewish Americans must educate the ignorant.
What did the man do? Was it appeased, or did it deal a devastating blow to the European continent, to many countries in general, and to the Jewish people in particular? Let him read a book. The Jews are a powerful power base in the United States, so let him conduct a public education campaign and explain why millions of people died because someone offered to give up a tiny piece of territory.
Weapons Factory
On the same day that The New Yorker published his tongue-clicking interview, Zelenskiy appeared in battleground state of Pennsylvania and toured the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, which is producing an additional 22,000 155mm shells per month for Ukraine.
Presidents Zelensky and Shapiro signed the shells, conveying the message that the shells would kill Russians.
“Now the factory will increase production, not only for our country but also for the fighters defending Ukraine,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.
My visit to the US began with expressing my gratitude to all the employees of the plant and reaching an agreement to expand cooperation between Pennsylvania and Zaporizhia Oblast.
It is places like this that truly demonstrate that the democratic world can prevail. Thank you to men and women like these who work tirelessly in Ukraine, in America, and all our partners to keep lives safe.
Whatever Zelensky writes in X, he doesn't really care about “democracy.” In March he called off the elections and now runs the country as an unelected “president.” His regime also imprisoned and then killed American critic Gonzalo Lila, ignoring his health. On the orders of prison guards, other prisoners tortured Lila.
Lila strongly criticized Zelensky's government for continuing to wage a war with Russia that it cannot win.
