The second night of the Democratic National Convention was not only painful to watch, but also a stark reminder of the Democratic Party's complete lack of self-awareness to avoid making stupid statements.
Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said she would lower grocery prices if she became president, even though she is currently vice president. The fabulously wealthy former first lady Michelle Obama said rich people can't be trusted. Sen. Bernie Sanders, the socialist from Vermont, cryptically criticized his own party.
In line with the party's push to promote people with mental disabilities to key positions, a “transgender woman” from New Jersey announced that her delegates would vote for Harris, but she made the mistake and slammed former President Donald Trump.
