Digital Currency Group (DCG) announced Yuma is a new subsidiary dedicated to accelerating startups that build distributed intelligence projects using Bittensor's infrastructure.
According to a company statement, the move is a strategic foray into the convergence of cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence (AI), two areas aiming for exponential growth.

Bittensor is a decentralized AI network that enables contributors around the world to create, train, and access machine learning (ML) models in an open marketplace. The goal of the Yuma Consensus (YC) mechanism is to use the native token TAO to measure and reward contributions fairly.
Projects within the network operate as “subnets,” each specialized in AI and ML services such as text generation, translation, and data storage.
Yuma is actively participating in Bittensor as a whole as a validator, miner, and subnet developer. The company is currently the third largest validator on the network, supporting a variety of subnets including text-based AI tools and financial services.
As a result, the new DCG subsidiary will act as a subnet accelerator and incubator, streamlining projects and providing technical and strategic guidance.
