Conflux Network, China's only compliant public blockchain, is partnering with China Mobile, China's largest telecommunications operator with over 1 billion monthly users. The strategic partnership aims to revolutionize digital collections through China Mobile's digital content division, Migu. Conflux Network and China Mobile will introduce cutting-edge digital collections powered by the Conflux TreeGraph public blockchain, including video RBT (ringback tone), digital ID (DID), and blockchain communication hardware.
The first release from this partnership will make history as the world's first public blockchain-based digital collectible video ringtone. Titled the “MIGO and his friend ConFi” series, the ringtones will be launched at 10:00 a.m. (Beijing time) on August 23, 2024 and will be available for purchase from the “Digital Collection” section of the Migu Music App.
The collection features Conflux's mascot “ConFi” character and China Mobile Migu's pioneering NFT product “MIGO”. The series integrates real-life landmarks in Hong Kong to tell a story of friendship through compelling visual storytelling. The “MIGO and his friend ConFi” video ringtones will be sold as mystery boxes, with 5,000 units available for RMB 13.9 (approximately USD 2) each. Of these, 500 will be a rare edition, representing just 1% of the total. These video ringtone mystery boxes offer a cutting-edge 5G experience that combines personalization, social interaction and interactivity. Users can watch the corresponding video ringtone directly on their phone screen during a call without installing any additional software.
Since 2021, Migu, as a leader in immersive media technology, has become one of China Mobile's fastest-growing vertical industries. As part of its metaverse evolution strategy, Migu has strategically focused on ultra-high definition video, video ringtones, cloud gaming, cloud VR and cloud AR to drive digital content innovation. The partnership with Conflux marks Migu's first foray into metaverse and digital collection applications on a public blockchain network, bringing the technology to Migu's 120 million monthly active customers.
