Coloradoans are flooding the governor's office with calls for Tina Peters' release.
She is a former Mesa County Clerk and recorder who sentences to nine years in prison for interfering in the election. In office, she was responsible for maintaining the electoral system in the county.
The Denver Post calls the ruling “persecution” and “(a) an example of a weaponized judicial system.
Like many Americans in 2020, she asked questions about the integrity of elections. During an election software update, she granted the man she trusted to qualify someone else's election security. This individual took photos of the source code that should have been open anyway and published them. The lawsuit did not affect the vote and occurred after the election. So, 69, Peters is sitting at the Larimar County Jail just months after the first part of his nine-year sentence.
It's a shocking time, especially when compared to the generosity shown by other criminals and illegal aliens. Peters' complete story is told in Lala Logan's 2024 documentary (S) Election Code.
Peters made a phone appearance last week from Stern American prison. Host Steve Stern has announced his appeal to call Governor Police at 303-866-2471 to demand full pardon and release of Peters. “We want everyone who hears call the governor. He's running for president, so certainly he wants to get Tina out of prison,” he said. “The Department of Justice is working on that.”
Stern has specified a million phone target and also posted the governor's email address: (email protection).
Whether she was released or not, Peters told Stern she lost Social Security. She thanked her supporters for their prayers and encouraged them, urging people to reach out to her at Tinapeters.us. The American Project crowdfunds her legal fees and updates have been posted on her givesendgo account.
