Right-wing President Donald Trump and Uber-Left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have little in common. But there is one area where they are perfectly aligned.
They both agree that Trump is serious about putting Great White North in his 51st state.
The president revealed his northern ambitions in an interview on Sunday's pre-Super Bowl show. When asked by Fox News' Bret Baier if his story of absorbing Canada was “real,” he replied, “Yeah, yes.” Trudeau also said he was “real” at a recent closure meeting with business and worker leaders. But is that wise?
Certainly, analysts say Canada will benefit financially, at least in the short term. And the United States will have access to the country's vast natural resources. But Canada is “rich” with another resource, and therefore has political significance as it is a left-wing voter.
Without a doubt, Canada will pull the 51st province to the “left.” Furthermore, if the country's 10 states and each of the three territories is likely to be Vermont in the Chaser in Seattle, perhaps under annexation scenario. Decompose the reality of elections and light the topic.
Cold political truth
Of course, it is unlikely that Canada will be annexed. But what's historically not is “Trump's crazy idea.” The site continues:
The idea of merging the US and Canada has existed since the American Revolution. A 1777 Allied article reveals that Quebec (formerly known as Canada's lower Canada) is anti-British, and therefore, he is hospitalized in Quebec (formerly known as Canada's lower Canada) Even there was pre-approval.
But everything in Canada is now a pro-political politics. In other words, it reflects the awakening of European statistics. This applies to most of that country state. This is what is envisaged in the country's latest federal election (2021).
But first, get familiar with the five Canadian political parties that hold seats in the House (Parliament).
The Liberal Party (LIB) currently holds power (160 seats), is the leftist and is represented by Trudeau. The Conservative Party (CPC) has a second seat (119). The new Democrats (NDP), founded in 1961, is generally described as being on the left side of the Liberal Party. All Bloc Québécois (BQ) seats are located in Quebec. The party is dedicated to Quebec nationalism and sovereignty. However, here it is called “center left”. It supports leftist stances, “LGBTQ+ rights,” legalization of euthanasia, and lowers voting age to 16. The Green Party (GP) rejects left and right paradigms, but is a left and right environmentalist. There are only two seats in the parliament.
Bernie Sanders' Paradise
So let's take a look at the power balance of each of Canada's 10 provinces and three regions. (Note: The following does not include a handful of free, independent seats.) The reality is: Ourcommons.ca, the government of Canada website, is:
Ontario – Liberals hold 75 seats. By combining LIB with NDP and GP (hereinafter, we will identify this trio as “left”). CPC, 30. British Columbia – Left, 27. CPC, 14. Manitoba – Left, 7; CPC, 7. NewBrunswick – Left, 6; CPC4. NewFoundlandand Labrador – Left, 6; CPC, 1. Northwest Territories – left, 1; CPC, 0. NovaScotia – Left, 7; CPC, 3. Nunavut – left, 1; CPC, 0. Prince Edward Island – Left, 4; CPC, 0. Quebec – Left, 34; CPC, 9; BQ (left), 33. Saskatchewan – Left, 0. CPC, 14. Yukon – Left, 1; CPC, 0.
As you can see, on the left is controlled by 10 states/territories. Only two conservatives: Alberta and Saskatchewan. Manitoba tie.
Nationally, the left holds 179 seats in the Canadian House of Representatives. There are only 120 people in the Conservative Party.
Canada's Congress also has the Senate and Senate. Its members are appointed, not elected, but not elected, by an official called the “Governor General” (GG), on the advice of the Prime Minister, now Trudeau. The senator holds a seat until age 75, and the senator looks very left-wing.
Canada – And madness?
Regarding the above, it is true that conservatives are currently leading the vote. (The next federal election will be in October.) Is Canada ready for the Trump Revolution? Now, remember that “conservative” means everything you mean in a particular context depends on what you are trying to save.
As explained in the past, the only consistent definitions of “liberal” and “conservative” are related to the desire to change the status quo and the desire to maintain the status quo, respectively. So, what will we decide on the position held by the Liberal Party and the conservatives? Answer: Political Current Situation – ideological spectrum – Time and place.
And Canada's political spectrum is more similar to that of Europe than America. As reported in 2022 by the website policy options Politiques (POP),
A new study from the Environics Institute confirms that conservatives in Canada are significantly different from US Republicans than Canada's Liberal Party (like Linos).
For example, most Canadian conservatives write pop and believe that “every woman who wants an abortion should be able to have it.”
“New” America
So, what do we look like with Canada? Canada has roughly the same population as California, so it's like adding California even without the weather. That means two more left senators, including Golden State Democrats Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla. That means there are around 52 lawmakers, most of them Democrats, and the rest will mostly become Renos. Using current house make-up as a starting point, this will ensure that the body is firmly placed under democratic control.
But what if each state/territory was its own state? The reality of the House is the same. However, using current House Party makeup as a guide could mean only 21 democratic senators and additional GOPs. Of course, this means long-term control of the Democratic Senate. That is, Republicans left enough to compete. In fact, DEM may have a rejection majority. In other words, it is sufficient to convict President Maga who was fired each.
This said it is very unlikely that Canada will become a nation. 77% of Canadians are against it. But it's not surprising that Trump dreams of Canada on a winter day. However, it is not necessarily bigger, especially if it is the enemy's army that is growing.
