Bitcoin's four-year combined annual growth rate (CAGR) has now fallen to the lowest point ever, at 14.45%.
CAGR measures the average annual return that an asset generates over a specified period. This is calculated by assessing the return on investment (ROI) between two points and determining the combined annual return.
For BTC, the average annual return is 14.45%, depending on the four-year holding period. This is the lowest on record.
Despite a significant drop, Bitcoin is superior to traditional financial assets.
CheckonChain's data reveals that the CAGRs for Gold, S&P 500, NASDAQ, Silver and US dollars range from 4% to 13%, making top-level cryptos a stronger long-term investment.

However, Bitcoin's CAGR is lagging behind some major digital assets. Solana (SOL) leads the sector with an impressive 118% CAGR, followed by XRP at 49%. Ethereum (ETH) currently has the lowest CAGR of all major cryptocurrencies, but only 8%.
