Mo Shaikh, co-founder of Aptos Labs, announced that he will step down as CEO of the company.
Aptos is a layer 1 blockchain that claims to offer enhanced scalability, security, and transaction speed. The platform leverages a proprietary blockchain programming language called Move, which was originally created for Facebook's closed “Diem” project.
Shaikh, who co-founded Aptos with Avery Chin three years ago, said in a lengthy post about X that it has raised a whopping $400 million in venture capital funding and is “one of the most robust companies.” He expressed pride in the company's progress, including building. An ecosystem trusted by over 1,000 builders and innovators around the world. ”

Shaikh said Chin will take over the role of CEO and lead the company into its next phase of growth.
In his post on X, Shaikh acknowledged the work of Aptos' partners and investors, including companies such as BlackRock, Google, Mastercard and PayPal.

Shaikh said he will remain with the company as a strategic advisor and will take time to think about the future of blockchain and the financial system. “I will always remain a champion of Aptos and its mission,” he wrote, adding, “I look forward to continuing to support Aptos in maintaining its role as the world's leading blockchain.”
