Yet another far-left, Trump-hating Democrat is no longer the far-left, Trump-hating Democrat. Now she is what she calls “independent and uncooperative.” Young Turks star Ana Kasparian left the swamp of left-wing fetidism and fever over the reaction she received when she spoke out about sexual assault on the once-safe streets of Los Angeles.
Kasparian revealed her departure on September 30th at her Substack and in a recent viral interview.
But Mr. Kasparian is just one of many prominent leftists who have abandoned their former allies, some of whom, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., have joined former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
In a post on Substack, Kasparian acknowledged that he is “totally on board” with the Trump-hating “mindset” and “feels righteous.”
But “the tactics deployed to combat Trump have become repetitive, boring, and ultimately futile,” she wrote.
Polls show that his support is increasing among black and Latino voters, despite widespread coverage of his unpleasant, racist and bigoted comments. are. Years of media warnings about President Trump's threat to democracy have only resulted in a close presidential election between him and Kamala Harris.
I have to admit that the only thing I gained by resisting Trump was less understanding and more division among the American people. Personally, I have become reluctant to challenge my “side” or engage with voters I disagree with. As a result, I became less knowledgeable about the people and world around me. I used to see Republican voters as an evil monolith, and that was a big mistake.
But the defining moment for Kasparian was not introspection. Rather, Kasparian was sexually assaulted by a homeless man in the City of Angels in 2022. The reaction on her left side that revealed the attack showed her to be on the wrong side.
“I was told that by publicly sharing what happened to me, I was stigmatizing my 'unhoused neighbors,'” she wrote.
Others accused me of using racist metaphors, assuming my attacker was black. But I never even revealed the man's race.
he was white.
Its “cruelty” and “hypocrisy” show that those “terrible qualities” are not just the prerogative of Trump or the Republican Party, she continued. She then confessed, “I was stupid to think that was the case.''
never apologize
Another moment that alienated Kasparian from the radical left was his insane response to a March 2023 tweet.
“I am a woman,” she wrote.
Please don't ever refer to me as someone who has a uterus, someone who gives birth, or someone who menstruates. Why don't people realize how humiliating this is? You can still support the transgender community without doing all this crap.
“All hell broke loose after I posted these words,” she wrote. 2 minutes of hate has begun.
The response was so distraught that one YouTube channel posted five videos to the tweet and wrote, “They even drew a connection between my tweet and transgender suicide. “It wasn’t the most distraught result of the fiasco,” she continued.
I have never apologized for that tweet, and I never will.
The whole experience forced me to come to terms with left-wing intolerance and publicly reject the ideological shackles that had kept my world small and poorly informed. .
Today, I'm less sure and more curious than I was four years ago. I've made humiliating mistakes when covering political news. Because I was previously disinterested in considering or understanding the perspectives of Americans who vote differently than me.
keep it real
Kasparian detailed the sexual assault on his “Keeping It Real” podcast with Jillian Michaels. Ms. Michaels also confessed her discomfort with the radical left.
Kasparian said he was bending down to clean up after his dog when one of the two homeless men approached him from behind, grabbed him by the waist and began “throwing his hips out.”
Terrified, Kasparian said she had no way to protect herself. The men laughed at her and let her go.
But the reaction from her left-wing friends, who once again called her a racist, “woke me up, because I was like, oh my god, they're going to eat theirs.”
Other defects
Kasparian is not alone in saying enough is enough.
Kennedy withdrew from the presidential race and supported Trump. But before that, he was accused by his family of running an independent campaign against Joe Biden. They called him “a danger to our country” and said he “does not share the same values, vision and judgment” as his father, who was killed by assassin Sirhan Sirhan in 1968.
When Kennedy supported Trump, his family claimed that Trump had betrayed his father.
Another high-profile defector is former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard. She fled the party because it was dominated by far-left, anti-white, globalist weirdos. Gabbard also supported Trump.
“I can no longer remain in today's Democratic Party, which is completely under the control of an elitist cabal of vile woke warmongers who have racialized every issue and are anti-white racial “They are actively working to divide us and undermine our God and the freedoms enshrined in our Constitution by inciting discrimination,” she said. Ta.
The party is hostile to religious people, demonizes police, advocates open borders, uses the national security state to “go after political opponents” and “above all brings us ever closer to nuclear war.” she stated.
Another prominent liberal who is fed up with Biden and the Democratic Party is soprano Drea de Matteo. She said on Donald Trump Jr.'s podcast “Triggered” that many liberals in Hollywood think the same way she does, but are afraid to speak out. After all, it can end your career.
Mr. De Matteo, who reposts conservative content on his X Feed, supports Mr. Kennedy's transition to Mr. Trump. And she, too, is tired of Democrats' woke policies, she says. She also wears a red hat that says “Close the Borders, Idiot.”
