American Policy Center (APC) Director Tom DeWeese has delivered a petition to the office of Congressman Chip Roy (R-Texas) calling for the reintroduction of funding legislation in the upcoming 119th Congress. Ta. The petition also asked Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) to take similar action in the U.S. Senate.
The petition was gratefully accepted by Congressman Roy's staff.
DeWeese said: “These two members of Congress took the courageous step of introducing the DEFUND Act in the current 118th Congress, one of the most powerful anti-UN bills ever introduced in Congress. .”
DEFUND stands for “Depart from the United Nations debacle once and for all!”
bill:
Suspend U.S. membership in the United Nations and all related organizations, treaties, and agreements. Stop all funding to United Nations agencies. Prohibits U.S. participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations. Expel the United Nations Headquarters from the United States and end America's membership in the World Health Organization!
DeWeese continued: “The United Nations is central to the globalist agenda of eliminating national independence in an effort to control the world's economic and political policies.” If the United States were to leave the United Nations, the United Nations would collapse almost immediately. Many other countries will leave it to us. And the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, and the approximately 20,000 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that help enforce this agenda will also see it collapse as the funds and political power they generate dry up. It will be. ”
Mr. DeWeese met with Congressman Roy's staff to discuss the APC's long-standing dedication to withdrawing the United States from the United Nations. In 2000, the APC worked closely with former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) when he introduced a similar anti-UN bill.
At the time, the APC had collected more than 350,000 signed petitions calling for Rep. Paul's bill. The group then sponsored a national press conference featuring Rep. Paul and the late Rep. Helen Chenoweth (R-Idaho) as the petition made its way to Congress.
Mr. DeWeese assured Congressman Roy's staff that if Congressman Roy and Senator Lee reintroduce the DEFUND Act, APC would do it again.
Mr. DeWeese promised that the APC would work to create a steady stream of pressure on Congress to pass the DEFUND Act by amassing thousands more petitions in support of the bill. Providing leadership and training to local activists to organize local “UN Leave” rallies. You can even call Congress to keep your office phone ringing.
“The truth is, there has never been a more powerful opportunity to make withdrawal from the United Nations a reality because of the massive changes taking place in the federal government as President Trump prepares to take over,” DeWeese said. I think so,” he concluded.
