Aark Digital recently experienced a security incident in which unauthorized parties accessed and withdrew approximately 1,386,085 USDC and 24,143 ETH. In response, the project initiated a 24/7 recovery effort and introduced additional security measures to prevent further fraud.
As part of its recovery strategy, Ark Digital is offering a 15% reward to those responsible, conditional on the safe and complete return of misappropriated assets. This reward amounts to 225,000 USDC and is intended to incentivize the return of funds. Additional details can be found on Arkham's bounty platform here.
If a full recovery does not occur, Aark Digital says it will announce a distribution plan to appropriately address the situation. The organization has set a deadline of 3:00 pm (UTC) on October 26, 2024 for those responsible to respond, and said it is prepared to take legal action if the funds are not returned within this period.
